How to Initiate a Purchase Inquiry (RFQ)

Inquiry (RFQ, Request for Quotation) is the starting point of procurement. A clear inquiry allows specialists to quote faster and more accurately.

Steps to Initiate

  1. Login to your account and go to the "Initiate Inquiry" page;
  2. Fill in the product name, usage, or directly paste a 1688/factory product link;
  3. Specify specifications (size, color, material, customization requirements), purchase quantity, and target delivery date;
  4. You can upload reference images or sample descriptions;
  5. Submit.

How to Write a High-Quality Inquiry

  • Specify quantity as clearly as possible: Purchase quantity directly affects unit price and whether the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) can be met.
  • The more detailed the specifications, the better: Clearly state key parameters (material, voltage, certification, packaging method) to reduce back-and-forth confirmation.
  • State your target market: Different destination countries have different requirements for certification, voltage, labels, etc. Informing us in advance can avoid rework.

After submission, a procurement specialist will manually verify supply and pricing, and usually provide a formal quotation within 1 business day. You can also browse products in "Factory Wholesale" and initiate a price inquiry for desired items with one click. How to read the quotation?
