Frequently Asked Questions

How to initiate a purchase inquiry (RFQ) on AwwwBuy?

After logging in, fill in the product name or 1688/factory link, specifications, purchase quantity, and target delivery date in "Initiate Inquiry" and submit. Our procurement specialist will verify supply within 1 business day and provide a formal quotation including unit price, minimum order quantity (MOQ), delivery date, and shipping cost. You can also browse products on the wholesale page and initiate an inquiry for desired items with one click.

How to pay after quotation? Why deposit and balance?

Bulk foreign trade purchases are usually settled in two stages: deposit and balance. After confirming the quotation, pay a certain percentage of deposit, and we place the order with the factory accordingly; after the goods arrive at the transit warehouse for inspection, weighing, and determination of actual international shipping costs, then settle the balance and shipping costs, and then arrange shipment. This protects both the buyer and seller and ensures the final shipping cost is calculated based on actual weight/volumetric weight.

How are MOQ and delivery date determined?

MOQ and delivery date are determined by the factory and vary with style, customization requirements, and raw material inventory. The specialist will clearly indicate the MOQ and estimated delivery date for the product. If your quantity is below the MOQ, we will try to match a factory that accepts small batches or a group order solution.

How is chargeable weight calculated? Which is used: actual weight or volumetric weight?

International logistics charges based on the greater of 'actual weight' and 'volumetric weight'. Volumetric weight = length×width×height(cm) ÷ volumetric factor (commonly 6000 for air freight, 5000 for express, subject to actual route). Light, bulky goods (large volume, light weight) are usually charged by volumetric weight. After goods are stored in the transit warehouse, actual dimensions and weight are measured, and the chargeable weight is quoted according to route rules, never estimated arbitrarily.

Which trade terms (Incoterms) are supported? What is the difference between DDP and FOB?

Commonly DDP and FOB. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) - we are responsible for international transportation, customs clearance, and bearing destination country duties, delivering to your doorstep, hassle-free with transparent total cost; FOB (Free on Board) - we are responsible for preparing goods and delivering to the designated port/carrier, after which ocean shipping, customs clearance, and duties are arranged by you. Small-volume buyers wanting door-to-door service often choose DDP; buyers with their own freight forwarders can choose FOB.

Can multiple packages be consolidated? How to save shipping costs?

Yes. Goods from different factories or batches can be sent to our transit warehouse together, where the warehouse will consolidate and pack them (consolidation) and ship as one international shipment, significantly reducing the unit shipping cost of individual packages. During consolidation, redundant packaging is removed and volume is optimized, and quoted by chargeable weight.

How are international logistics and customs clearance arranged? Who bears the duties?

We match air, sea, or international express routes based on destination country, weight/volume, and timeliness requirements, and provide full tracking numbers. DDP routes: we handle customs clearance and bear duties; non-duty-included routes: import duties and VAT are borne by the recipient as determined by destination customs. Before ordering, the specialist will explain the tax liability of the selected route.

What to do if the received goods have quality issues or are wrong/missing?

Please inspect the goods upon delivery and keep unboxing photos or videos. For verified quality issues, wrong items, missing items, or compensable transport damage, we will arrange reshipment, exchange, or partial/full refund, with reasonable return shipping costs borne by the responsible party. If the responsibility lies with the upstream factory, we assist you in claiming rights from the factory. See the return and exchange policy for details.

What payment methods are supported?

We support credit card (Stripe), PayPal, Alipay, bank wire transfer (offline transfer), etc. Available channels, currencies, and limits vary by site and risk control strategy, subject to actual display on the order page. Bank transfers must be confirmed by our finance department before the order enters processing.

Is company information required for registration? Can individual buyers make purchases?

AwwwBuy is for global B2B foreign trade buyers. Registration only requires an email to create an account and initiate inquiries. Completing company name, country/region, and shipping information helps specialists provide more accurate quotations and arrange customs clearance; some destination countries require the recipient to provide a tax ID (such as EORI, CPF). Individual small-volume buyers can also make purchases.
